How To Create a Shaped Image with Zoom and Custom Background?

How does the zoom feature work?

The zoom allows you to magnify the central square portion of your image before it's shaped. A higher zoom means you're focusing on a smaller detail within that central area.

If I choose a background color, will the image still be a PNG?

Yes, the output will always be a PNG. If you select a background color, that color will fill the areas of the PNG that would otherwise be transparent.

What is the default background?

By default, the area outside the shape is transparent. You can explicitly click "Use Transparent BG" or simply not choose a solid color if you want transparency.

Can I still get a transparent background if I accidentally pick a color?

Yes, just click the "Use Transparent BG" button after selecting a color, and the tool will revert to making the background transparent for the next "Create Shape" action.

Will zooming affect the quality?

Zooming in is essentially magnifying a part of your original image. If you zoom in too much on a low-resolution image, it might appear pixelated, just like with any digital zoom.
